Report: WIN Waste has “no adverse effect” on air quality

Tech Environmental, an environmental company that works for the Saugus Board of Health, submitted a report that shows that even under the “worst case meteorological conditions” the WIN Waste Innovations waste-to-energy plant does not cause adverse effects on air quality.

Host Community Agreement approved by Saugus selectmen

The Saugus Board of Selectmen voted to approve a Host Community Agreement with WIN Waste. Contingent upon the company obtaining the necessary permits to continue operating the ash monofill adjacent to the waste-to-energy facility, the Town will receive significant environmental and economic benefits.
